Garwood, New Jersey is a suburban community located approximately 25 miles southwest of New York City. With a balanced mix of residential areas, retail stores and manufacturing businesses in its .75 square miles, the tiny borough of Garwood has approximately 4225 residents. Most of the streets on the north side of town are numbered, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th Avenues (there is no 1st); while on the south side they are named after trees, Willow, Hickory, Beech, Pine, Myrtle and Spruce.

Can you help ensure the girls in your Community achieve their full potential? For more than 85 years, Girl Scouts have helped the girls of America reach their full potential. Washington Rock Girl Scout Council currently serves over 10,000 girls in Union, Somerset and Middlesex Counties. Our Council's Nominating Committee is currently developing a database of adult volunteers to serve on the Board of Directors, Nominating Committee and other Board committees and Task Forces. We are requesting the assistance of the communities we serve to identify individuals who can provide leadership in the development of policy, in setting direction for the Council, and in support of fund development for the future of our girls.
